>>Washington State has a new tourism slogan. You
may remember that Oregon spent $450,000 to come up
with, "Oregon. We Love Dreamers." Washington was
thriftier, but ended up with fewer letters,
$442,000 for "SayWA," which, we are told, is "a
distillation of the sense of wonder that comes
with discovery."
Replacing the old slogans, Oregon: the Smart State
and Washington: The Umbrella State, was probably a
good idea.
