I would really like to have the problem with unicode and the letter
opcode fixed before we release. This is probably the same bug that Mesar
has been talking about. I think this bug is quite severe as it can
affect a lot of people and will silently give faulty translations.

There is a failing test case for it which you'll see when you do `make
check`. I'd rather not release with a failing test suite.

I'm not sure if we get around to look at this before June 1st. I'd
prefer "it's ready when it's ready".
