Charles, the extenders I'm using are the 2x APO like yours (loaned to me for
only a few more weeks) and the 1.4x APO. Officially there is only one
version of the 1.4x APO extender, which fits some but not all lenses, and
fits only R3 or newer bodies. My 1.4x APO is an unofficial variant that
fits Leicaflex SL and SL2 as well as R bodies. It requires stop-down
metering on the SL and SL2 bodies and allows full-aperture metering with R
bodies.

There are 2 non-APO 2x extenders, optically identical. One has a
Leicaflex-compatible mount and has no meter or aperture couplings.
Stop-down metering, manual aperture, etc. The other version has metering
and aperture couplings for R bodies and officially will work only on R3 or
newer bodies. I suspect this extender can be modified the same way I
modified my 1.4x extender to work with the SL and SL2. The 2x APO extender
can also be modified this way.

Sorry, I don't know the catalog numbers.
