Good on you, Douglas, for even attempting, let alone succeeding at it!

As you know, I'm not a fan of "twinkie lights", but that aside, the light
on your night-time flower is not too bad, and the darkness makes for quite
a dramatic shot.

Aram is right, however, that a diffuser might have helped.  The simplest
one, if you haven't got a commercial one, is a bit of bubble bag material,
taped into a cover.
