Bill, thanks for taking a look. I was over the "other side" quite often in the early 80s helping on E_W exchanges of pop/rock/jazz bands, it really was a very foreign country, I remember looking at the (lack of) stuff in shop window displays and then later being invited to a central Berlin hotel for dinner by some TV and radio people - purest luxury.(and being followed all day by suspicious looking blokes in a Wartburg) Some were really more equal than others.But, if you look at today's Berlin the Ossies really did have all the best bits.
