This is what I use for all my B&W conversions, and I am very satisfied with the results, both on the web and in print.

Everything this does can be done by hand in Photoshop (using Channel Mixer and what not), but I am no Photoshop wizard, so for me, this was the best $30 I have spent in a long time.

Thanks mark-- I agree-- now how best to accomplish this? I can choose "gray scale" in PS but that never seems as satisfying as it might be...
