The depth of field should be the same as it would be with this lens
and a converter on 35mm fullframe.....as I understand it the DOF is a factor of
the optics, the 1.6x factor from the Canon camera is simply a croping
factor, not optical.  This is why when shooting a lens like a 35mm
that gives you about a 50mm perspective you still get the dof of the
35mm lens, same is true on the longer end.  FWIW
