if the task bar is occluded by another window or you have no apps running,
you will have this issue. a work around if you do have apps open is jaws
key+f10 just as jaws key+f11 is a work around in xp for the sys tray.

Is there any reason why jaws would not read the task bar.
I'm running Jfw 4.51, Windows xp home, when I'm on the task bar Jaws
says"running applications task bar, to move through items press left or
right arrows". When I do I just get blank.
Please help.
