Hi Jim and Thomas,

Thanks so much for your helpful replies. I have now downloaded the PDF file, But I guess I'll have to get a friend, who has Open Book, to scan it and convert it into something that JAWS can recognize.

I had to right click that pdf file and choose Save As in order to download it instead of displaying it in the browser. With Jaws 9, focus on that link and press the star key on the numpad, and arrow down to save target as.
You should be able to then download the PDF file.

The print on these channel lineup PDF pages is quite small. In fact, I had
to enlarge it to 200% before I could get a clear view of it on my monitor.
Further, it appears that much of it was scanned, and therefore is not
represented as text in the PDF file. Try making the print real big.
Perhaps JAWS will recognize and read it then.

Subject: trying to get P/DF file with JAWS 10

Hi all,

I am trying to get a particular PDF file from my satellite TV provider, using Windows XP Home edition and JAWS 10. Here is the web site:

http://www.bell.ca/support/PrsCSrvTv_DTH_Channels.page

Once at the page, click on the following link:

Full channel listing (PDF)

When I click on that link, JAWS goes silent and I don't know what's going on. I can Route JAWS to PC and cursor up and down, but nothing changes in that dialogue box even after waiting several minutes.

   Can anyone help?

   Don
