I'm using the latest free version of WordWeb and Word 2003. They work very well together. I didn't see the beginning of this thread to know what your exact problem is, but this is how it works for me. In Wordweb under Options, simply indicate the hot key you want. I think it was automatically defined when I installed the program, but I don't really remember that. It's control-alt-w for me. So, then in Word when I want to look up a word, I simply highlight the word and press control-alt-w. The word is automatically looked up and I just tab once to the results. Control-alt-w from anywhere will bring up the WordWeb application, and then I can input a word manually into the search field. I didn't add any special plug-ins or anything.

Hi Judith

I sent an email to WordWeb about this. Here is my email and WordWeb's answer. However, I could not find the MS Word Link in the Options Menu.

According to your Help Menu, "If you are using MS Word
you can skip step 1 if you have selected the Direct MS Word
Link option from the Options menu. The word the cursor is on
will be automatically selected. I can find no such link.
Other sites on the Internet say that WordWeb (the free
version) can be integrated in MS Word by following the
prompts on installation. I found no such prompts. Can you
tell me the answer.

The WordWeb options menu has the Direct MS Word link option.
Then use from Word as normal (press cltr+Alt+W).

There is a zip file on the WordWeb website to integrate WordWeb and Word, but it states that it will not work with later versions of Word, because of Macro security (whatever that is). I downloaded it and it integrated alright, but it does not work. The zip file is named WWebVB.zip. I will attach this file and send to you privately and you can please yourself whether you want to unzip it or not. Jessie Neagle

I just downloaded the newer version of word web from JFWlite. I downloaded it and then installed it from the desk top. The problem is it is not on my tool bar which is where the last version was making it easy to use while in a document. Any advice on how to get it back there? Thanks, Judith
