Hello listers: roy wrote that it is not possible for jaws speak the portion of the line wher you move with a braille display when pc cursor follows the braille cursor. Does anyone have a different experience or knows how to do that? To make it clear here is an example I have a vocabulary list one oone line there is an english word and on the next one is its french meaning I want to be able to move down with my braille display to see the spelling of the french word and at the same time jaws pronouncing it, so I could feel the spellinng of the word with my hand and here the correct pronounciation. Many thanks. Before I list my questions here are my software and hardware details. I am running windows xp home edition 32 bit on asus 1000h andd running jaws 11. If you can please answer my following questions please: 1. I pressed some buttons and the display started to move authomatically how can I stop it? I tried to press these buttons again and it did not wowrk. you pressed nav row 14 which starts auto advance mode. press any routing key to stop it. 2. how to go back to default settings in case that I completely screw everything up? since none of the keys on the braille display save settings permanently worst case restart jaws. 3. english manual says that there are just 5 marks above the navigation row buttons but there seems to be 7 of them? I have noticed that as well. 4. what is the difference between the cursors like: move a braille cursor to pc cursor move braille cursor to pc cursor will move the braille cursor to the pc cursor. move a braille cursor to current cursor move the braille cursor to current cursor will move the braille cursor to the currently active cursor either pc cursor jaws cursor or invisible cursor. and so on. 5. If I sellect a menu pc cursor follows braille cursor how do I make jaws to read the portion of the screen where I moved with a braille display? The braille display moves the actual cursor moves as well but the jaws does not say anything. So how do I make sure that jaws speaks when I move a braille display? I do not believe this is possible. Many thanks for your help. Zdenek
