The answer to this question would give people a clue as to the next step you should take. Here, I guess I'd leave it to the admin to work this out... I'm not sure why Dave insisted on knowing the type of monitor, but the request itself demonstrates this isn't a JAWS question. I recently posted a link to the PC-Audio list, which is a place for blind computer users who might have some experience with gadgets to give advice. That may be an option for you, Sugar. Other lists will be found with Google. The cautions expressed on this list about using a Web cam are important. Personally, I'd be wary of making myself a Web cam subject without having a sighted friend nearby to make sure I'm revealing nothing I might regret. Sighted people are very aware of what they reveal to cameras. We need to be, too. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Judy Jones Sent: Monday, November 22, 2010 9:22 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: requesting answers please Hi, Sugar, I'm also curious about using the web cam. The info you gave sounds fine, but I think Dave was also wanting to know the type monitor. Maybe the best thing to do is to call your computer manufacturer for that info. I think you said Dell, right. I would like to be more knowledgeable before I ask one more question, and I don't want to be "shut down"again I just want to know what it means. When I am asked this question, i am thinking whether I am useing jaws, xp, type of computer,etc... or something else. if there is more, than I would like to know. with much appreciation sugar Be a coffee-drinking individual -espresso yourself! ~Sugar
