Hi,
You are correct in your instructions about where script files for JFW 7.0 go
but one thing is that some of the older scripts will not work at all with
JFW 7.0. In some cases recompiling the scripts will fix the problem and in
other cases it will not. I'm not sure on how to determine what wil work when
you recompile scripts and what will not.

Hi,
I came across this problem as wellwhen I tried it a couple of months ago
but I attributed the scripts not working to a previous computer problem that
I was having with my computer. I haven't tried it again since, so I don't
know if this will work. When you unzip those scripts for Firefly, you have
to cut and paste them into the Jaws enu folder. On my computer the path to
the folder is as follows:
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Freedom Scientific\JAWS\6.20\Settings\enu
You should have something similar, only instead of 6.2 you should see 7.0 or
something like that.
You should have Firefly closed when you do this. Once you've copied the
scripts, try running Firefly again. Then press Numpad Insert+H and see if
you get a list of keyboard commands for Firefly. If you do, then the
scripts work and you can try the commands out. If not, then there's either
a problem with the scripts or some problem with my directions.
Michael
P.S. I thought I had read somewhere that Jaws 7.0 was already compatible with Firefly and that you didn't need additional scripts?

Subject: question for a friend.
Hi list, My friend is running Windows XP Home and Jaws 7. Here is what she
is trying to do. I do not know how to help her but perhaps some of you do.
Here is what she wrote.
Any of the scripts from the jawslite home page. The specific one I'm
trying to load is for firefly. There were instructions on that site for
installing
scripts which I followed and couldn't get it to work. I unzipped the
files
to the enu folder and windows said that seven files were unzipped but they
don't work when I open up the application firefly.
thanks,
Jim
