Yes, i have amputations to all 10 digits at various lengths of my fingers. The reason for the amputations are too much to type and may not be fitting for this list. I'd like to chat more about this, though. Could we voice chat with windows live messenger or skype? If you're in the states or canada, i can even call your regular telephone.

Why do you use Darci? Are you an amputee? I ask because I lost both hands and eyesight while training a demolition class in the Army in 1984. I use the old Adapt2u input with Morse code instead of the keyboard, and I can get around 45wpm.
I have a Darci II for backup, but have never set it up.
I also use Jaws as the screen reader.

Thanks,

thanks for responding. i indeed do live in the states. i am aware of j-say and draggon, however, it's out of my financial means. the device i use, darci, is much more reliable and efficient for me. using 1 to 6 keystrokes per each key pressed on the keyboard, i touch-type 30/35 wpm with good accuracy. Also, the darci doesn't utilize any system resources. it is "transparrent" to the system. i would love to try draggon and j-say if someone in houston, texas could evaluate and/or train me on it.

Their cards are very accessible from the keyboard. I am in the UK so you will probably have to search the site or call them to get some feedback if you are in the states.

Have you considered using J-Say and Dragon to navigate the computer and input using your voice?
