Hi, Whoa, sounds serious. You mentioned that your startup folder's empty, but what about your system tray? What background apps are running in there, or can you tell? What about other things running as services? You can check that out by going into either Administrative Services or the task manager and looking at the Processes page. Although there may be a number of processes that you won't want to kill with a slash-and-burn approach, you may want to look it over and see if there may be some clues there. Perhaps some rogue app is in there giving you trouble. Just some thoughts.
