I believe you need to set the control panel to "Classic" for JAWS to read it.

I'm using jaws 7 and xp home. however when I open the control panel jaws
doesn't read the icons. even when I hit a letter 4 an icon, it goes there but
doesn't read it. Any help is appreciated.
