hi vista defaults now to saving files in your download folder. you can hit the brows button in the tool bar it will show you the list view then of where you are saving a file and you can change it if need be. the downloads folder though is a good place to save things from the internet. hth -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of J. You first give a name to a folder, put it on the desktop. I always use DL. for download. then, the first time only I download anything, before I choose save finally, I tab over twice more to where to save to, and choose the DL folder which is there and always seen by vista or xp pro because it appears on the desktop. Once you choose dl once, and it downloads, it always downloads there for ever. This way you always know where your downloads are going, and can memorize the path if need be.
