Steve I know I'm a bit late on this one, but you can use HJPad, the tool used to train users who are new to jfw and word processing. Try creating a document, and saving it, see if it wants to save as a .doc file. If you like, we could meet on skype, and we can then try a few things. hal ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Gomes" <finnygomes@xxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, January 18, 2006 3:56 PM Subject: Re: changing the way word pad saves documents word pad use to save files in .doc but in windows xp it started saving them as rich text format .rtf skype name stevegomes web site www.rellek.com/stevegomes phone 720-747-4990 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nancy Shackelford" <ddd3dee@xxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, January 18, 2006 1:13 PM Subject: Re: changing the way word pad saves documents >I haave Windows ME and Wordpad saves it as a .doc > file unless you change the file type to something > else.
