hi,

many people dont really understand about a structure of a video DVD including
myself. after i did a self learning for about a month,
now i understand what it is all about.

in VCD, it is so easy, just need a video file such as .mpg, .avi, .dat, and
etc. this file must be in mpeg1 standard. you just copy
in to nero burning rom and can start the burning process.

but for DVD video, the process little more harder. you need video files such as
.mpg (mpeg2) or .vob. this file must in mpeg2
standard. to make a standard video DVD, you must have 3 combination of files
that is .bup, .ifo and .vob. the time i start my
learning process, i also thought that just convert the mpeg2 file to .vob is
all enough, but i'm totally wrong. you can't only use
nero burning rom for this purpose, you need another ahead product named nero
digital.

nero digital can create a perfect DVD video. you can add any type of video file
in to nero digital such as .mpg (mpeg1), .mpg
(mpeg2), .dat, .avi, .vob, and many more. for VCD, you don't need to create
menu and chapter but for DVD video, this is must. but
for us "blind computer user", to create a nice menu page is impossible, because
u need to design it. so what you can do is, just use
the original template that provided by nero digital.

for jaws user, nero digital is 75% accessible, you need to use jaws cursor and
mouse clicking for some settings and configuration.

nero digital will do all the jobs for you. after the video file added in, the
convertion process start, when the convertion process
done, it will autometicly start the burning process for you. so you can let the
computer on over night and the next morning, a nice
DVD video is ready for you. as i mention erlier, a DVD video need 3 types of
file that is .bup, .ifo and .vob, the actual video is
.vob and the other 2 file is to hold the menu and chapter info as well as the
audio info.

after i tryed nero 6 and nero 7, i could say, nero 7 is perfect and more
importent is jaws accessible.

Regards,
Allan Wong
