Hi Carol & all: Well I just had a crash using the latest 6.1u, in all fairness I may have caused it. I was in the internet with favorites up and I think I arrowed down too fast getting to a site I wanted to click on. I know you tell me I can hit the first letter and be sent to the first letter of the that listing or if it is the only one with that letter the sitte will begin to come up. In this case it is the only entry with an "H" but focus doesn't move to the entry nor does the site begin to come up. So I always have to arrow down to the entry and hit enter, so I think I was trying to go down the list to fast for the focus and crashed the program. HTH, George R. Well the jury is still=20 out because I haven't been using it long enough, but so far it hasn't=20 crashed. HTH, George R. I'm still using 6.0 and, in the main, it's fine but I do have occasional crashes, mostly with OE. I intend to go to 6.1, but it would be good if I could get 6.0 running even better in case I should need to go back to it. Thanks for any help. -- Carol carol.pearson@xxxxxxxxxxxx=3D20 -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Crystal French Sent: Thursday, April 28, 2005 3:40 PM To: JFW List Subject: about 6.1 download=3D20 Hi, I am still using Windows 98 se, and Jaws 6.0. Overall, Jaws 6 has been working fine, with the exception that I do have Jaws crashing, most especially when in Outlook Express or IE. I queried tech support and they recommended downloading Jaws 6.1, or modifying something in msconfig. Since I am on dial up, and know that is a pretty large download, before I take that step, I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue, and if it was, in fact, improved with version 6.1? Thanks.
