Re: about 6.1 download

Thanks Carol, had decided to do something like that. Now I have more bad
news: started to reply to your message hit "R" and boom crash, back to the
drawing board.
Thanks,

George,

Sorry to hear about your crash. Try going to the letter "G", assuming
you have more than one and just work down from there. You're less
likely to crash!  <SMILE>

Hi Carol & all:
Well I just had a crash using the latest 6.1u, in all fairness I may
have=20
caused it. I was in the internet with favorites up and I think I
arrowed=20
down too fast getting to a site I wanted to click on. I know you tell
me I=20
can hit the first letter and be sent to the first letter of the that
listing=20
or if it is the only one with that letter the sitte will begin to come
up.=20
In this case it is the only entry with an "H" but focus doesn't move to
the=20
entry nor does the site begin to come up. So I always have to arrow
down to=20
the entry and hit enter, so I think I was trying to go down the list to
fast=20
for the focus and crashed the program.
HTH,
George R. Marshall

Thanks, George.

It's on my "To do" list which is rather full, so all offers are welcome!

Hi Carol:
I assume you are using XP, Eric Damery told me he was 99% sure the new
6.1=3D20 would get rid of most, if not all of the crashes. Well the =
jury
is still=3D20 out because I haven't been using it long enough, but so =
far
it hasn't=3D20 crashed. HTH, George R. Marshall geom4@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Can you recall what you had to modify in MSCONFIG? I'm still using 6.0
and, in the main, it's fine but I do have occasional crashes, mostly
with OE.

I intend to go to 6.1, but it would be good if I could get 6.0 running
even better in case I should need to go back to it.

Thanks for any help.

Hi,
I am still using Windows 98 se, and Jaws 6.0.

Overall, Jaws 6 has been working fine, with the exception that I do have
Jaws crashing, most especially when in Outlook Express or IE.

I queried tech support and they recommended downloading Jaws 6.1, or
modifying something in msconfig.

Since I am on dial up, and know that is a pretty large download, before
I take that step, I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this
issue, and if it was, in fact, improved with version 6.1?

Thanks.
Crystal
