I both have Jaws starting automatically and I also have a hot key--control alt
9. My wife often uses the computer without speech so I use this hot key combo
very frequently. Likewise, when I boot the computer from the off position, Jaws
9 always starts automatically as I have checked that feature.
Note: I also have a hot key combo for 2 other versions of Jaws--Versions 8 and
5.1. I recently deleted 2 other versions of Jaws I had running so have 3
options presently and use each for my own personal reasons.

Hello all,
I think I have found out why Jaws , either version 8 or 9 will not hold a
hot key to be used later.
First I went into Jaws 9 basic settings and checked to have Jaws start
automatically.
Then I went to have a hot key to start Jaws and tried to set it.
It would not take.
Then I went back and unchecked to have start Jaws automatically.
Then I went back and installed a hot key and it accepted it.
Hence...A person cannot have both automatic start, and have a hot key
assigned to a Jaws version.
Would one of you computer guru's confirm my findings, or not, so that maybe
we can give this one a solution??(or not)
