Hi Curmudgeon,
Are you aware that, in the tools menu of Outlook Express when you have a new
message open, there's an actual menu option for doing this? The option is
called Select Recipients. Yes, it puts you in the Address Book addresses
list, but to refer to it as "going into the address book" and the like would
be wrong, because what appears when you choose this menu option is different
from just opening the address book, and includes specific tools and buttons
for the specific task of adding addressees to an email.

Just to complicate things further... <grin>

i was responding to white fangs comment
that he could not use alt t alt c or alt b to add names to a email
that alt t, brought up the tools menu

that meant he was in the address book directly
and not in a email
someone suggested that you could add name
to a email from the address book
non-contiguously
by holding down the control key and down arrowing
an then press the spacebar,
i thought if you did it that way all the names would be in the to field
and not where you want either in the cc or the bcc, field where i always put
them when sending a mass email
havn't tried it to see
so, hahaha
what i meant was,
if you want to
select non-contiguous email addresses
open a new email
then go to tools alt t press r to the address book
then as you down arrow your address book
you can add addresses to your email
alt t for the to field
then down arrow to another address
alt c, for the cc field
or alt b for bcc field
to select non-contiguous
email addresses

Hi,

What does this mean?

quote:
you have to be in the address book from a new email notjustin the address

I'm an OE user and pretty experienced with the program, but I don't
understand what this means. Can you say it differently? Thanks a lot.

Hi List:

When I am in the addressbook, pressing alt+b on a name does not do anything
for me. Pressing alt+t on a name just bring's up the tools menu. Also, how
do I get out of the addressbook after I have selected the list of names I
want and pressing alt+b? I just close it with alt+f4 or Is this correct or
should I be doing something else?

Please tell me what I'm doing wrong!

Wayne
