I'm  not sure what you mean when you say that you "got offline"; did you
disconnect the internet connection or shutdown the pc?  In that case, it
could not have finished downloading and installing your update.

If you mean that you just stopped using the internet (say you closed
internet explorer or whatever you were doing), but left your pc running
and connected to the internet, then yes, it could have finished
downloading and applying the update; and it may not have needed to
inform you if it did not need to reboot.

In any case, I wouldn't worry about it, and there's nothing special you
need to do.
