As others have said, when windows update or another program is downloading,
do not disconnect from the internet or shut your computer down. Stay
online until the update is applied or until the program is completely
downloaded to your computer. Since you use AOL, I would imagine you are
probably told when a download is complete. If you don't see this
notification and a program is downloading, stay online until it's done.
Can't make it any clearer than that.
