Hi The basic no-frills AVG product is free but if you want to add extra features, you can but you have to pay for them. There is a difference between update and upgrade. The deadline message may well be an upgrade offer that expires after a certain time and they are just reminding you that you can buy it at a cheaper price. I've only had the new version a couple of days, so I'll look out for the message. The upgrades and things I did find, it suggested they were all ones one has to buy. Does anyone know more about this? From Marissa. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Yardbird" <yardbird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "JFW List" <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, November 02, 2006 5:24 PM Subject: Positive report on AVG Free Edition v. 7.5 with Jaws > In the midst of all the issues we confront here and help each other with > daily resulting from so many applications or functions within applications > being inaccessible or mysterious when using Jaws, I thought a positive > report about something might be nice.
