hi, this leads to a question I have had for a while how do you monitor cpu temperature on a desktop machine with jaws. I haven't found a program that I like that can do this task. It happens to me on a desktop, and I can monitor sudden temperature spikes that can only be stopped by unloading and reloading JAWS. Freedom Scientific has attempted to solve this problem but hasn't yet been able to reproduce it. So don't waste a lot of time trying to find other culprits. Earlier versions of JAWS do not seem to cause it. We all hope it can be solved in the future. After using the laptop for 20 to 40 minutes,it overheats, fan comes on. Jaws is very sluggish while fan is running. Fan does not shut off. My sighted partner uses laptop for hours, with no overheating. I did not have this problem with jaws 4.5.1 . Any suggestions? thanks Peter ------------------------------ Best regards, Ken E-mail address: gould100@xxxxxxx Please visit my store's home page at http://www.audionexus.com -- To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line. -- To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
