You can also use a dongle rather than ILM.

For the record, you must have your ILM authorization on the computer before
you put your flash drive with JAWS on it in the USB slot in order for it to
be fully functional.  You can use all your settings, scripts and other
configuration files as well.

  Without the ILM authorization however, JAWS runs in 40 minute demo mode.
This may be fine if you're just using it temporarily and just need to do a
quick job or something.
