MS Word 2007 and Jaws version 9

I am becoming exceedingly weary of hearing Jaws say spelling error or grammatical error when ever I read a MS word file. These options are unchecked in Jaws verbosity but they occur anyway. I can stop it for the current document by going into Jaws verbosity and then exiting same but the next time I open a document the annoying announcements are back. Could someone tell me how to silence this? Tom
