Hi,
Have you tried going to WORD and pressing JAWSKey+S to flip through the
different settings there: words, highlighted, none?
I have my setting on highlighted and it works as I prefer.

Dave;
Makes no difference what I do in the verbosity settings, even if I set
typing echo to none I get letters, words, and sentences. There must be
something in MS Word overriding the Jaws verbosity settings. Did I mention I
don't like MS Word 2007 one bit.
