When you simply hit control plus "o" and hit shift tab, you get a file listing from the "current" folder. The "current" folder may change, depending upon whether you have accessed a file in a folder different from your default folder. Files in the last folder accessed will be shown. When you first bring up Word, press control plus "O" and hit shift plus tab, the files shown will be in your default folder. You may have changed your default folder somehow. To check and/or fix your default folder, press Alt plus "T" to go to the "Tools" menu in Word. Then, press up arrow until you hear "options." Then, press ENTER. Press control plus tab until you hear either "file location" or "file types." Be patient, you will need to do this several times. I didn't count. Be sure the folder is properly set to the folder where your files are to be located by default. Also, make sure the default file type is "DOC". I hope this helps. I used to be able to hit control O , then shift tab to get a list of my files while I am in M S word. Now, for some reason, I get a different list, and, my existing files are not there. Does anyone have any ideas? Did I change something in the tool bar? How do I fix it? Many thanks.
