no, it wouldn't turn on again. put a shortcut on it or something, or better yet, put it in your start up. that way, when you log in, you will be without speech, but at least it will start with speech automatically. ----- Original Message ----- From: Katherine Schulz To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, June 28, 2006 1:50 PM Subject: Re: Jaws and the Login Screen He just turns it off when he gets on as he doesn't need it. When he goes to switch user, shouldn't it come on again? How do I get it to turn on? There is no screen saver on and I have the monitor turned off when I use the computer. There are 2 users and we each have a password. I am the only one using Jaws as he turns it off when logged on. When we go to the login screen to switch members, if I want to get on, there is no speech whatsoever and I have no way to tell where I am. Even when you use the keystroke to bring it back, it won't work. I have to have someone place the cursor on my password and then type it in. Then I have to turn Jaws on again. Is this supposed to be this way or can it be changed? I have a Dell Demension310 and Windows XP Home Edition with Jaws 6.0. Thank you for anything you can come up with to solve this problem. Katherine
