Sorry John, I wasn't clear enough in my message. This has nothing to do with checking or unchecking a checkbox with the space bar. The problem is what Jaws says when I tab from field to field. I just want to hear the field name followed by the checkbox status, checked or unchecked, nothing else! Here in my form, the word checkbox is overloaded by Jaws. It says checkboxcheck1 whatever name I have as a field name followed again by the word checkbox checked or unchecked. It's just annoying when you have a form containing many fields with checkboxes! If you hit your space bar then that checked box will be unchecked. Then it'll say unchecked so if you want it to say unchecked you should uncheck it. Hi all, I have a form containing field names with checkboxes. When tabbing to a field, Jaws 6 says checkboxcheck1 fieldname unchecked. 1 is the checkbox number. Checked the help file for forms, etc, in vain. Is there a way to have Jaws simply say: fieldname checkbox unchecked. Thanks in advance for any tip.
