if you open my computer, open your hard drive, open documents and settings,
open all users, open start menu, you can get to all the shortcuts and run
them. some are in programs and some may be just under startmenu.

Hi David,
Well, I have an email client on my start menu that isn't on the desk top.
Actually, I try to have different things on the start menu from those on the
desktop, so when I don't have access to the start menu, it is quite
frustrating.

some times, restarting jaws clears this up. AS for the I can'ts, you can do
anything you want on your computer without the start menu, it's just a bit
tricky. What os are you running?
