I'm curious why FS sent you a message with the link. Did you ask them for it?
I've never in all my years with FS received any E-Mail from them with an
unsolicited request to download a version of JAWS.
I find that very unusual behavior on their part.
As for your version now working, that is good. Do you use Excel? If so have you
tried it yet? Exactly what version are you now running?

I was using the jaws version that I received on disc. I think it was the
origional release.
I have windows 7 as I said I received a direct e mail from FS yesterday with
a direct link for downloading the latest release.
When I downloaded from the e mail link jaws installed. After that I could not
use the cursor nor read the page with the read all command.
I have windoweyes on my computer and used that to go to the FS web site and
download from there.
After the install came up I simply installed and so far it works all right.
An FS teck told me what to do and said there is or was a problem with the e
mail link.

Interesting. So you are telling us that you clicked on a link to install JFW
12.0.1158 and the install crashed?
Can you be more exacting with what version you were actually instructed to
install?
What version of JAWS were you using before you attempted the install?
What steps did you have to take to remove that aborted installation?
What version of JAWS are you back to using?

Hi Rick and all,
I received an e mail from FS yesterday asking me to download from a link
they provided for the latest upgrade to jfw 12 plus..
I did so and it totally screwed up my computer trying to use the upgrade.
FS is aware of this problem and they said if you want to upgrade use their
web site instead of the link in their e mail.
I had to reinstall jaws and that fixed the issue.

I have been watching my JAWS 12 check for updates by way of the help menu.
and so for it has not come up.
I am using JAWS version 12.5.25 on my Windows 7 Home Premium machine. It
seems to work pretty well.
This version is what is listed on About JAWS.
Perhaps the update happened automatically?
Or should I say, is this the most recent version?
