Web tools is for creating html pages, not for what you're trying to do.
The Web toolbar just gives you access to your favorites, etc.
Make sure fields is turned on in Jaws verbosity. Make sure your cursor
is actually on the link. Make sure background open of web pages is
checked under Tools, Options, on the General tab.
You also must have the http:\\ part included. A straight When arrowing
over a link, Jaws will say something like hyperlink field. Use your
left and right arrow keys to put the active cursor on the actual link.
Press enter.

Hello Yardbird:
JAWS doesn't announce links in Word documents for me, but it does
online.
What settings are there in JAWS to allow it to read links in Word
documents?
Do I also have to modify a setting in Word?
Yours truly,
Derek Czuy
