Jerry,

I tried that, at someone else's suggestion (from another list), but it didn't seem to work for me. It certainly wouldn't keep working, I don't think, after a reboot with all devices plugged in.

I finally resolved the problem, but only by plugging my desktop speakers back into the C-media card built into the machine and making that card the default audio device. That way, the card and the Logitech USB headset play together nicely. I still need to test whether I can still use the Griffin USB IMic as an input device, for digitizing from my stereo, with all the rest plugged in, as well. But that is a lesser priority, as I've already finished digitizing all my old music cassettes. The main thing, now, is that I can both get JAWS speech through the desktop speakers and use the Logitech headset with Skype.

Thanks, again.

Blessed Be,

Dana

Dana! It's my experience that most, maybe all USB audio devices take
over all the audio on your computer when they are plugged in. When you
change the default audio device back to the Griffin device a restart of JAWS
should get it back to the Griffin device.
