JAWS 9.0 and yahoo messenger 8.1

I am having a lot of trouble getting this to work. I know the keystrokes are to 
be an alt 1 thorugh 0 to read message history just like in windows live 
messenger. I do not hear typing sounds as others mention they hear  and when I 
do an insert q it says default when i go to see which scripts are loaded it 
seems the wrong ones are loaded.       I have to route JAWS to PC in order to 
read the messages from yahoo messenger. Any help would be greatly appreciated 
if someone has had thiss problem and been able to fix it.
