Dave at this point she wasn't talking about the login screen.  This was 
after she had logged in.  She had said

Debby:  Jaws sees nothing in the original area.  This forces you to area
down 1 or 2 times to receive an item.  In the login field arrowing down 2
times and back up 1 time will give the first item in this field.  After
landing on the requested item pressing the spacebar will activate it.  She
might try that approach and see what happens.  good luck.
