I tried that, and nothing worked. All I got was "blank" and I finally had to
restart.

Katherine, I haven't read the whole message thread, but it sounds like, even
though your speech says nothing is selected, you went back to the default user,
which is yourself.
When nothing is selected, you can go to the list view where you want to be,
and hit up arrow or down arrow a hcouple times, and this usually selects
something.

Subject: Interesting Observation regarding the Login Screen
I logged of using windows l and I switched to Brad's settings. I got no
speech whatsoever. I managed to get back on my own desktop and I could not
select anything. When I used insert f ten, I was told that there was nothing
selected and I couldn't do a thing. I finally used Narrator to restart as I
couldn't figure out what else to do.
What causes nothing to be selected and how can I fix it since I can't seem
to select anything on the desktop, it's all blank.
Katherine
