Thanks a lot for the effort.
I have no acrobat application for phones on my computer.
I only once had Voicewise installed, but quickly removed it from my system
because of accessibility issues that I could not resolve.

You got me curious, so I just now did a Google search. The second hit is for
Acrobat, despite what I said earlier, but my Malware Bytes software blocked
the site when I attempted to link to it. It's hard to tell from the google
summary, but the particular Acrobat application seems to have to do with
phones. would that make sense in your case?

See if Google gives any clues. I have yet to receive inappropriate
application notifications in my system tray, but as you recognize and other
listers have warned, it's always a possibility to guard against. One red
herring was the Adobe suggestion. Just the other day, I got an Adobe update
alert, and it didn't come in the form you describe.

I have recently been receiving the following message in my System Tray on
the Desktop:
IDS_TITLE_READY_TO_INSTALL.
I hesitated but did click the button to install, yesterday for instance.
But today it appeared again.
Please, can someone explain to me what this is all about. I have no idea at
all.
I am running JAWS11, MS Security Essentials on an XP Home computer.
