Hello Katrina,

I have had my ThinkPad since the end of May. I cannot say that I have =
had any particular accessibility issues which are truly Jaws or computer =
related. I have had some software issues with new installs, things like =
Word defaulting to tool bars at start-up which deselecting didn't seem =
to stick so that things don't talk as they should and figuring out why =
was troublesome. I also find that sometimes Outlook Express doesn't =
function correctly and I have to unload and reload Jaws but I see that =
is happening to all sorts of people with this Jaws 5 and no one seems to =
know why. I have similar and different issues on my Work Desktop =
computer I am sure it is something to do with the new Jaws.

Overall I am very satisfied with my laptop.

I did purchase a USB number pad and used it for a time, the '5' say =
letter say word spell key on the number pad didn't work for some reason =
however I don't use it any more, just decided to bite the bullet and =
learn the laptop command keys. This is confusing at times as I work with =
DOS and Soft Vert at work as well as Windows 98 and here, the laptop so, =
I do get confused.

I don't, at this time have experience with other notebook computers.

Hope this is helpful, don't be afraid to take the plunge. These little =
machines are pretty nice. I rarely use my desktop upstairs now except =
for scanning because it is already set up for the job.

I connect wirelessly to email and the Web so I can work here at the =
breakfast table or from the couch in front of the television.

The IBMs are a bit more expensive, don't know that they are really any =
better but I don't know that they are not. I hope that the internal hard =
drive protection mechanism is truly superior and protective technology =
and that I never have to test it.
