 Hallo on my desktop windows 7  and ms outlook I have to  boost messages
with f 9 to shift them, then I hear,"1 out of 3 tasks has been completed,I
press f9 again and it may say2 and so on since the desktop is meant to be
powerful why  am I having to shove messages out? Thanks Dorothy Ps F5 only
works on my xp laptop

Hi,

You can manually check for e-mail by pressing f5, and I think ctrl+m might
do it, too.

From your in box go to tools, options, mail setup tab, and tab to the send /
receive button and hit enter, then tab until you hear automatic   send /
receive and put a check in that box and tab and set the minutes between
automatic send / receive.  Then tab to ok and hit enter

When I don't get new emails coming to my outlook when I have it open and
waiting . So what I do is close it every 15 minutes or so then the new
emails appers.
