This may not be quite what you want. On the other hand, it might be a
simple solution. Why not hold down the Insert(jaws) key and cycle the "s"
key until it says none. It will remain silent until you do the same thing
again to say highlight or all. Again, not fancy but effective, just turn
jaws off with Insert-F4. You should have a hot key assigned to turn jaws
back on, usually control-alt-J. Not to be condescending, but if you don't
know how to do this just ask on the list.

yes this is easy.
open the game
JAWSKey+f2
choose configuration manager.
this will make a jcf file for the game if there is not one already
choose advanced from the set options menu.
Check the sleep mode check box
press enter to activate the ok button
Close the configuration manager and say yes when it asks if you want to save
the changes.
from then on when the game is running JAWS will be silent. when you exit the
game or alt+tab away from it JAWS will work normally.

Am running jaws 8 and I have a couple of audio games that I need to turn off
my Jaws screen reader to make the games work, my question is whats the
easist way to put Jaws asleep? and is there a way I can link it with the
game that is easy once I exit out of the game to get my speech back?
