Hi Robert,

The Ipod is certainly usable. You may be somewhat limited because you can't
see the screen but it's doable for playing music and books. You'll need a
program called Anapod Explorer (about $30) and some patience to work with
the interface until you get accustomed to it but I'd say go ahead and get
one if you want one. I love my Ipod and use it all the time.
