Hi,

That's putting it nicely. I'd heard people say that M E stood for mostly excrement. Whatever the case, while many people had bad experiences with ME, there were some who, like myself, never had serious problems with it. I bought a Dell machine back in 2001 with ME on it and it ran like a top for five years and I didn't have a lick of trouble with it. I think the secret to smooth operation with any OS is to always start with a clean install, make sure that it has all the proper device drivers, keep it free of viruses, spyware and malware, and avoid questionable software which may wreak havoc with the registry. That's just for starters.
