But in that case, isn't there a way in Eudora also to ascertain whether or
not it was a "real" attachment or one of these things, so that you can
forget about it if it wasn't, and didn't really need to be quarantined?

Just asking. Don't use Eudora.

Hi, the below information applies to ms programs only as far as I know
programs such as edora will have these attachments in there attached
files folder. At least this is my understanding.

Linda,

These aren't real attachments. They are things like the promotional
messages antivirus programs append to messages, which look as if they
part
of the message area, but get perceived by email programs as attachments.

Anyway, they're harmless, and they won't even show up if you just press
Insert A in an open message that you think has one. That's the only way
to
tell if there's really a file attachment with a message. Alt A. If
Jaws
says "no attachments," then it's one of these guys.

Hope that helps. Not a security issue.

Hi,

There seem to be attachments on other lists from yahoo even though they
are set to not receive them so I think a moderator has to contact yahoo
to see what's going on. This is not a jaws topic though so the
moderator may not like this topic continued. Maybe he can tell us if he
finds out why this is happening.
