Hi well there could be a lot of reasons this is happening from some one has a bug piggy backing on messages to some one has a signature line that is formatted in some way your client does not understand. As I said the easiest way for you to handle it is to have your system be auto protected by some sort of virus scanner and simply do not open these files. Also as I have said before maybe list admen will want too look in to wy people are receiving attachments from a list witch is not supposed to have any. -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Yardbird Sent: Wednesday, September 21, 2005 8:13 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: File attachments thread Okay. At this point, I just think I'd rather ask a friend who's an IT professional to explain this simply than to keep conjecturing about it, when obviously none of us knows why these things we're describing happen. If I ask around and find out anything about this, I'll be sure to mention it. ----- Original Message ----- From: "N & G." <lakeking@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, September 21, 2005 8:07 PM Subject: re: File attachments thread Well, when I looked at the original message that started this thread with my Jaws cursor there was an attachment. I also checked in my Eudora attachment files the Winmail.dat file was there. So regards what Jaws tells you I received an attachment.
