Okay. At this point, I just think I'd rather ask a friend who's an IT
professional to explain this simply than to keep conjecturing about it, when
obviously none of us knows why these things we're describing happen. If I
ask around and find out anything about this, I'll be sure to mention it.

Well,
when I looked at the original message that started this thread with
my Jaws cursor there was an attachment. I also checked in my Eudora
attachment files the Winmail.dat file was there.
So regards what Jaws tells you I received an attachment.
