Hi. I have a tutorial on outlook express and it tells you how to create rules. I'll look at that section and that way I could give you a better idea of how to do it. Hope this helps. Thanks for your response. do you know how create a rule using Outlook Express? ----- Original Message ----- From: Pickrell, Rebecca M. No because I don't know what provider you use for email nor do I know what mail client you use, nor do I know if you want the isp to block your mail or have the mail client do it. I recomend you find someone who can sit down with you in person and help you. -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Saturday, October 22, 2005 3:07 AM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Dealing with SPAM? Hi Pickrell, Rebecca M. <rebecca.pickrell@xxxxxxx> Can you send me the step by step on how can I filter those spams to the selected folder name, "SPAMS"? ********** This email is confidential and intended only for the use of the individual or entity named above and may contain information that is privileged. I think we all are. Just delete it. Depending on your email provider, you can block this mail. You can either set up a folder where spam will be dumped. Note that notall spam gets into this folder and you may have mail that you do want also going to this folder. So it's not foolproof. You can also set up a whitelist whereby only people you want to hear from can send you mail. Note with this, you will need to enter in the addresses of people you want to hear from. You will also not be able to get mail from anybody who's address is not entered. This means that if a friend emails you with a new address, you will not get it. It also means that should you use any services like Craigslist you will not get responses. I recomend the whitelist for very young children and that's it. -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Saturday, October 22, 2005 2:24 AM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Dealing with SPAM? Hi, I think that all of us get these stupid things. Your friend is completely correct, it is SPAM. The best thing to do is "DELETE, DELETE". Also, you might want to email the list moderator about this issue. Not saying that it will do any good because I emailed him several times with no resolution. He is supposed to be correcting these types of issues.
